Lisa J. Peace
I received my BFA in painting from the University of New Hampshire
in 1992 and an MFA in painting from Arizona State University in 1998.

I have been teaching at SCC for the past three years and find tremendous satisfaction in the classroom and interacting with students. As an active artist-teacher I bring both practical knowledge as well as theory to the classroom. My paintings and drawings are abstractions based on my experience of the natural world and the processes of life. They are an attempt to capture and find meaning in the intangible and ever-changing relationships within the patterns and structures of life itself.

My work can be seen locally at New Urban Art in Phoenix. I have also participated in recent events at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary
Art, the Phoenix Central Library; and I am a member of the College Art Association.
