Bert has a background in electronic engineering,
computer technology, video production and editing and the human
potential movement. He brings to editing a passion for the documentary—to
tell the tales of the many individual paths through life.
He co-founded and presided over a certified
Apple Macintosh software development company developing a dental
office management programs, and a proprietary educational Criteria
Refeence Instruction based program for Jostens Learning Corporation.
His editing experience includes FAST Electronics Video Machine,
AVID Media Composer, AVID Xpress, EditDV, and Final Cut Pro.
Although his overseas experiences in Turkey,
Columbia, and Scotland brought a larger world view, he discovered
he wanted more from life than being an engineer. He sought and
found connections with people through a series of workshops and
formal educational experiences. He explored Buddhist meditation,
est training, Peer Counseling, Chase Seminars, Ericksonian Hypnosis,
Voice Dialogue, massage, and other body work.
He is now a trained practitioner and
a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors
and Therapists.
His education includes: B.S., Electronics,
University of Arizona; M.S. Engineering, Arizona State University.
He is currently pursuing his PhD in Advanced Studies of Human
Sexuality.
